The Dome at Notsuoh, a played host to a night of experimental sound and performance with artists Jacob Hutto and Sanctuary.
Kicking off the night upstairs, Jacob Hutto set a beautifully soft and magical tone. As an artist who navigates a constellation of genres, from post-rock to dream pop, Hutto distilled his diverse influences into a raw, acoustic performance. His sweetly heart-wrenching songs, played with an understated elegance, created a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt less like a concert and more like a shared, whispered secret.

The energy shifted as the audience moved into the sacred space of the Dome to witness Sanctuary's featured performance. Andra Durham transformed the space into a ceremonial chamber. Drawing on inspiration from La Via Dolorosa and a blend of ambient and punk rock, Sanctuary wove a spell of sound and imagery. Flames sparked and danced on her face and across the Dome's curved walls via a projected video, illuminating a strong, solitary feminine image. Her live vocals, enhanced with subtle effects, were repeated like mantras, like prayers, filling the air with a hypnotic intensity. It was a ritualistic performance, a heartfelt magick spell that implored and captivated, pulling the audience into a kind of spiritual experience.
